I think it depends on how you view God. I'm with you in that I don't believe in the existence of God in the way that Christians, Muslims etc do. I think God is some vast, overarching, allencompassing thing, that is so much bigger than us that he/she/it doesn't even notice us - if he/she/it is conscious in a way we can recognise.
